By being present I mean being completely focused on who you’re with, either in person, or talking to on the phone. Before cell phones and in particular smartphones, people actually stayed focused and listened to the people they were talking to, either in person, or on the phone. And before call waiting it was even easier!  I find it so interesting that you can be talking to someone on the phone and if they get another incoming call, they say they have another call and put you on hold.  If it was an emergency I could understand it, but usually it’s just another “chat” conversation! Unlimited Prospects

portf12Many financial advisers believe that they don’t have enough prospects. They devise all manner of schemes to identify new ones including mailings, seminars, and the old favorite, cold calling. While these techniques do work in varying degrees and some people become quite proficient in their chosen method, they are missing out on an obvious, yet much over looked opportunity. I should also mention that the aforementioned methods are inconsistent in producing prospects that fit the desired client profile of the financial adviser.
